Scope and who we are

This Privacy Policy applies to QR Barcode Scanner & Reader (the “App”), provided under the FuturicaLabs name. It covers information processed through the App, its advertising service, and messages you send directly to us.

FuturicaLabs is the developer and privacy contact for the App. Questions about this policy can be sent to [email protected].

Information processed on your device

The App processes the information needed to scan, create, organize, and act on QR codes and barcodes. This can include:

• Camera input and selected images used to recognize a code.
• Code contents such as text, links, contact details, or Wi-Fi information contained in a code you scan or create.
• History and saved items you choose to keep in the App.
• Preferences such as language, theme, sound, and vibration settings.

When information may leave your device

Advertising

The App may use Google AdMob to display advertisements. Google states that its Mobile Ads SDK may automatically process technical information such as an IP address, interactions with ads or the App, diagnostics, and device or other identifiers for advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention. The exact processing can vary by device, region, consent, and advertising settings.

We do not send your scanned or generated code contents to Google AdMob. Google processes advertising information under the Google Privacy Policy and its Mobile Ads data disclosure.

Actions you choose

Opening a scanned link, connecting to a service, adding information to another app, or exporting and sharing a code sends the selected information to the destination you choose. The receiving app, website, or service handles that information under its own terms and privacy policy.

Support messages

If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and anything you attach or choose to include. We use it to respond, investigate the issue, and maintain an appropriate support record. Please avoid including scanned content or other sensitive information unless it is necessary for your request.

Device permissions and controls

• Camera: used for live QR code and barcode scanning. Camera frames are analyzed to recognize a code; they are not uploaded to FuturicaLabs.
• User-selected content and actions: when you choose an image, save a generated code, share content, or send information to another app, the operating system may show a picker or permission prompt for that specific action.
• Network access: used to load advertising and to complete an external action you request, such as opening a website.

You can review or revoke App permissions in your device settings. Disabling a permission can prevent the related feature from working.

Advertising and privacy choices

Depending on your region, device settings, and consent choices, Google may provide personalized or non-personalized advertising. Where a consent choice is legally required, it should be presented before the relevant advertising processing begins.

• Review advertising and privacy controls in your device settings.
• Manage choices associated with your Google account through My Ad Center.
• Reset or remove permissions and locally stored App data through your device controls.

FuturicaLabs does not sell your personal information or your scanned content.

Retention and deletion

• Local App data: history, saved items, and preferences remain on your device until you remove them through the App or device controls. Uninstalling normally removes local App data, although device backup or restore features are controlled by your operating system.
• Support correspondence: retained only for as long as reasonably needed to answer the request, maintain support records, resolve disputes, or meet legal obligations.
• Advertising data: retained by Google according to its own policies and the choices available through its services.

Because we do not receive your local scan history, we cannot retrieve, export, correct, or delete it for you.

Security

Keeping scan content on your device reduces the amount of information exposed to a remote service. The App relies on operating-system protections and permission controls to help safeguard local data. Third-party services are responsible for the security of information they process.

No storage or transmission method is completely secure. Keep your device and the App updated, protect access to your device, and review a scanned destination before opening it.

Children’s privacy

The App is a general-audience utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly ask children to create an account or submit personal information to FuturicaLabs. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has sent personal information directly to us, contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.

Your choices and legal rights

Privacy rights vary by location and circumstances. Depending on the law that applies, you may have rights concerning personal information we hold directly, such as support correspondence. These can include requesting access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection.

To make a request, email us and describe what you need. We may ask for enough information to understand the request and verify that it relates to you. For local App data, use the App and device controls because FuturicaLabs does not possess that data.

Advertising providers may process information in countries other than your own. Their privacy policies explain the safeguards and request mechanisms available for information they control. You may also have the right to contact your local data-protection or consumer-protection authority.

Changes to this policy

We may revise this policy when the App, its services, or legal requirements change. The revised version will appear on this page with a new effective date. If a change requires additional notice or consent, we will provide it through an appropriate mechanism before the relevant processing takes effect.
